Mission Trips

Throughout the year, you have opportunities at University to travel and share the love of Jesus Christ. Mission trips not only provide tangible representations of God’s love to those in need but can be revelatory experiences about the deep needs in the world and the transformative ways God is yet at work. University’s two annual mission trip programs are listed below.

Casas Por Cristo

Casas Por Cristo (Houses for Christ) shares the love of Jesus Christ by building homes for families in Mexico, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. Groups travel to one of their various build locations and in just a week, build an entire house from the ground up. University has participated in Casas Por Cristo builds since 2012, both in Guatemala and Mexico. For more information on Casas Por Cristo, visit www.casasporcristo.org; to learn about University’s future Casas Por Cristo trips, contact Chad at cewing@uumcfw.com.

University United Student Ministries missions

Every year, our student ministries take on a service/mission project. Kids in grades 6-12 are invited to join in. Recent years have seen us do housework with Blueprint Ministries in San Antonio and building a complete house for a family with Casas por Cristo in Acuña, Mexico.
